How long have you been with this company?
I started in 2003 when I wanted to
stay home and start a family. I have three children under the age of 3 - which
include twins. I LOVE the flexibility to be at home with my children while
having a rewarding career. I know that my family eats GREAT meals, I save
money with our cost saving seasonings, and I always know what is for dinner. I
am just about ready to celebrate my 5th year anniversary. I have been in the
Top 10 Sales in 2005, 2006, 2007 (#1 in 2006) and Top 10 Sponsoring in 2006,
2007. This was during a time frame where I had very small children.
What are the sales quotas?
It is $39 to join Homemade Gourmet and it contains
over $100 worth of business supplies to help a consultant start smart. $400
retail($240 wholesale) with agreement. $400 is required within a rolling
two-month period. However, conducting one-two gatherings per month can easily
exceed this quota. The more events you do, the more money you make. Plus, we
offer 5% bonus volume rewards for those who order over $2000 per month.
How do I start with this company?
You can start by contacting me. I can
answer any questions you may have. Share with me your goals and desires of a
home base business and we can see if Homemade Gourmet is a fit for you. If you
decide to start, I can sign you up over the phone or can send or email the
distributor agreement. It can be faxed or sent in the mail to home office.

What are the shipping times?
I have found that products ship with 24-48 hours
of the order being confirmed. UPS is typically 2-3 days. I normally receive a
shipment by Friday if I order by Monday.
Does the company dropship?
YES! And, we even have a customer discount
program (Homemade Gourmet Preferred) where a customer can save 20% on a $50
order that is shipped directly to them. Ask for more details.
What is the commission structure?
40% off for any consultant order that is
placed. We can earn an additional 5% when sales reach $2000 in a month.
Leader commission starts at 8% on the first line (with 2 consultants). A
consultant can get paid on their 2nd and 3rd line when they reach Team Leader
level (6 active consultants).
Homemade Gourmet has one of the richest compensation plans in the direct sales
industry. And, the product is a very consumable product that customers DO
reorder. A simple email and/or phone call to them may spark conversations on
"What's for Dinner?" and "How can I help you with
tonight's dinner?".
How am I paid?
I get paid when I sell the product. Meaning, at a home
gathering, customers pay me directly. I order wholesale from the company and
have the profit the night of the show.
Direct-Ship and Homemade Gourmet Preferred commissions are paid to me around
the 20th of the next month via direct deposit.
Leader Commission is also paid around the 20th of the month.
Are "company websites" available?
Yes. The company website is included in the
starter kit price $39). It is a great tool to share with consultants.
In addition, we have a corporate created newsletter that is sent to our
customers on behalf of Homemade Gourmet that features monthly specials, recipe
options, and tips. This tool is also included in the starter kit price of $39.
Can I design my own website?
Yes.
Where can I sell?
You can sell to anyone who eats!
Home Gatherings, office shows/parties, bridal showers, family gatherings,
on-line resources, craft shows, exposure events, fairs, etc. There are very
few limitations so the sky is the limit!
The BEST way to sell is through word of mouth. Plus, by eating Homemade
Gourmet with your own family, you can give testimonies to others of what has
helped your family save money. THAT is a big selling point.
Does this company offer fundraisers?
We can offer fundraisers but they are
done by the consultant. They are not done through corporate office.
Are training tools available?
YES! There is great training tools through
your sponsor (me), on-line training, weekly training calls, monthly training
calls, and Regional and National conferences.
Am I required to hold home parties?
You are not required to hold home
parties. However, they are a great tool to showcase our 4 meals in 4 minutes
concept. As long as you are sharing and selling - you can sell anyway that is
best for you to reach your financial goal.
