Increasing Traffic with Link Exchanges

Exchanging links with other websites is an important step in the traffic building process, but one that many over look. Link exchanges serve two purposes:

1. To gain imediate visitors from other sites
2. Improve search engine rankings

A few tips to keep in mind while exchanging links:

- Always exchange links with a site related to yours. Swaping with a site that has nothing to do with yours, nor is visited by your target audience is a waiste of time for you and who you are exchanging links with.

- Use text links instead of banners. While banners may be noticed slightly more, text links are more valuable to search engines.

- Before exchanging links, know your key word phrase for the search engines. This may take a little time to determin what key words you can rank high in the search engines with, but well worth it.

There are many more ways to improve your search engine rankings and drive visitors to your site, but link exchanges is a step that should not be forgotten. Good luck!
